The starting point
The challenge
Edge’s team works with substantial shared project information and an Apple-based device estate. The brief involved moving around 1.5 TB of files from SharePoint to Dropbox Advanced, while continuing to support Microsoft 365 and the people using it. File access, device management and staff changes needed to be considered together.
The service breakdown
What Fluent delivered
SharePoint to Dropbox Advanced
The file migration covered approximately 1.5 TB of project information, with archive data included in the wider planning. Dropbox Advanced became part of the collaboration environment, alongside Microsoft 365.
Explore this service ↗Pilot-led migration planning
The migration plan began with selected pilot project folders before the wider move. This provided a controlled starting point for the transition and helped focus the rollout on the way Edge’s people work with their files.
Explore this service ↗Apple MDM & asset management
Mac device management and asset records support the equipment lifecycle. Device setup, ownership and staff changes can be coordinated as part of the ongoing relationship rather than handled as isolated tasks.
Explore this service ↗Microsoft 365 & security
Microsoft 365 support, email security and Fluent Protect sit alongside the file-sharing environment. Cyber security and backup are part of the broader support picture for the business.
Explore this service ↗Starters, leavers & everyday help
Ongoing support includes device and user issues, onboarding and offboarding. This keeps changes to people, equipment and access connected to the team responsible for supporting the environment.

Explore this service ↗How it came together
The approach
The approach combined a controlled migration plan with ongoing management. The pilot and broader rollout were planned around live project folders, while Microsoft 365 remained part of the business setup. Device management, security, asset information and regular service discussions support changes after the initial project.
The resulting environment
What this brings to the business
A coordinated cloud setup
Dropbox collaboration and Microsoft 365 support sit within the same IT relationship.
Managed Apple devices
Mac management and asset records provide a clearer basis for setup, support and team changes.
Continuing support
The relationship extends beyond the migration into everyday help and planning for the next change.
Ongoing support & next steps
Fluent supports the team’s devices, cloud services and ongoing requirements, with regular discussions to review priorities. This case study focuses on the delivered migration and support relationship; it does not claim measured productivity gains or an unverified reduction in downtime.
